About Sydney Fina Pomenti, MD
Sydney Pomenti is a gastroenterologist with an advanced skill set in both clinical evaluation and therapeutic endoscopy of esophageal diseases. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and in the Honors Program at the University of Miami undergraduate and medical school, with Alpha Omega Alpha distinction. Her postgraduate education was completed at Columbia University Medical Center for both internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship. During her fellowship she completed advanced training in esophageal diseases, including esophageal motility studies, as well as gastrointestinal motility disorders. Dr. Pomenti has published on a variety of esophageal disorders and cares for patients with all esophageal disorders, including eosinophilic esophagitis, achalasia, esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia, Barrett's esophagus, and unusual esophageal disorders. Additionally, she is the adult gastroenterologist liaison and physician for the pediatric to adult transition program in esophageal disease caring for patients with disorders such as esophageal atresia, eosinophilic esophagitis and epidermolysis bullosa.
