About Tara Shah, MD

Tara Shah, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at New York-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, specializing in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Shah is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Shah's focus is coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, and includes complex percutaneous coronary and bypass graft interventions, as well as, structural and peripheral interventions. She performs procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and Weill Cornell Medical Center. Active in research, Dr. Shah has been published in medical journals, including Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging and American Journal of Cardiology, and has presented her work at annual medical conferences. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association as well as the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. After graduating from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, Dr. Shah completed her internal medicine residency at Yale University-Yale New Haven Hospital. She completed fellowships in clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
