About Tiffany Schumaker, D.O.
Dr. Tiffany Schumaker is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Schumaker received a BA in behavioral neuroscience from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and was awarded membership to the Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Honor Society. Dr. Schumaker completed her residency as well as Chief Residency, in Pediatrics, at Cohen's Children's Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Hospital. After chief residency, Dr. Schumaker completed her fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Schumaker's areas of interest include disorders of growth and puberty, thyroid disorders, adrenal steroid disorders, particularly congenital adrenal hyperplasia, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes mellitus as well as pediatric obesity and metabolic syndrome. During her fellowship, she was involved in several obesity and diabetes related research studies. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at both national and international meetings.
