About William M. Whalen, M.D.

Dr. Whalen specializes in a wide variety of advanced lung diseases ranging from interstitial lung disease (ILD) and pulmonary fibrosis, to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He is involved and participates in numerous clinical trials where he aims to institute the latest state of the art treatments for his patients. Dr. Whalen also works collaboratively the Columbia University lung transplant program to improve access to patients living in midtown Manhattan as well as Brooklyn.
